SilverStone Tek, a leader in case design, including HTPC, is also becoming a player in the power supply industry. Their innovative designs and improvements to typical products is giving them a leg up on the competition and is helping to revolutionize several industries. Two examples are the ST30NF fanless power supply that is 100% silent and has enough power to run a typical PC and their ST46F that has more than enough power for workstations, desktops, or HTPC's.

With stability of an extremely loaded computer as our main goal, we have to pay attention to both the total power output and how different system loads challanges the power supply. If you are overclocking your computer you have to be extra careful when you draw that extra power so that other devices in the computer can still get enough power to run correctly. Avoiding overloading the power supplky is crutial and is what we will be paying special attention to.

Overloaded power supplies is dangerous and can also be unsafe for your hardware. I personally am a victim of a power supply that went bad and ruined the circuit board on a hard drive. Data loss is never fun and you will learned that buying a quality power supply is not an option. So now it is time to see what SilverStone has done to keep the power output and stability of their power supply high.
